Today is the day why we’re making this trip: the American Grand Prix is \u200b\u200btaking place at the Circuit de la Americas in Austin, also known as COTA. So, at 10:30 a.m., we take an Uber to the bus shuttles, where we’re smoothly escorted to the buses for a 55-minute drive to the circuit. We walk leisurely to our seats and wait for what’s to come. It turns out to be a great race with some great overtaking moves and an unassailable Max Verstappen as the winner. As usual, we first hang out in the stands for the award ceremony and the national anthem, and then head back to the shuttles. We’re again smoothly escorted to a bus, and after an hour and ten minutes, we’re back at Waterloo Park. We walk to the apartment and take it easy. For dinner, we decide to visit a Cuban restaurant, and it was an excellent choice; the food was delicious. Afterwards, we finish at a bar recommended to us by the same person from the Beer Garden, along with others who also had referred us. The White Horse, and despite Bene having visited 37 states, he’s never been to a honky-tonk bar like this. Great live country music that gets everyone dancing. And that’s not even the other highlight of the day after the race. No, that’s the Waymo taxi that takes us there. Now you’re probably wondering, why, what’s a Waymo?
